1. In the fifteenth year of the rule of Tiberius Caesar, when Pontius Pilate was procurator of Judea, the word of God was spoken to John son of Zechariah in the desert. Luke 3:1-2
2. John went about the entire region of the Jordan proclaiming a baptism of repentance which led to the forgiveness of sins, as is written in the book of the prophet Isaiah: “A herald’s voice in the desert, crying, ‘Make ready the way of the Lord, clear him a straight path. Every valley shall be filled and every mountain and hill shall be leveled. The windings shall be made straight and the rough ways smooth, and all mankind shall see the salvation of God.” Luke 3:3-6
3. John would say to the crowds that came out to be baptized by him: “You brood of vipers! Who told you to flee from the wrath to come? Give some evidence that you mean to reform.” Luke 3:7-8
4. The crowds asked him, “What ought we to do?” In reply he said, “Let the man with two coats give to him who has none. The man who has food should do the same.” Luke 3:10-11
5. The people wondered whether John might be the Messiah. John said: “I am baptizing you in water, but there is one to come who is mightier than I. I am not fit to loosen his sandal strap. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire.” Luke 3:15-16
6. Jesus, coming from Galilee, appeared before John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. John tried to refuse him with the protest, “I should be baptized by you, yet you come to me!” Jesus answered: “Give in for now. We must do this if we would fulfill all of God’s demands.” So John gave in. Mathew 3:13-15
7. When Jesus was at prayer after being baptized, the skies opened and the Holy Spirit descended on him in visible form like a dove. A voice from heaven was heard to say: “You are my beloved Son. On you my favor rests.” Luke 3:21-22
8. The next day as John saw Jesus coming toward him, he exclaimed: “Look! There is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world!” John 1:29
9. “Now I have seen for myself and have testified, ‘This is God’s Chosen One.’” John 1:34
10. “He must increase, and I must decrease.” John. 3:30
1. There was a wedding at Cana in Galilee and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus and his disciples had likewise been invited to the celebration.
John 2:1-2
2. At a certain point the wine ran out. Jesus’ mother told him, “They have no more wine.” John 2:3
3. Jesus replied, “Woman, how does this concern of yours involve me? My hour has not yet come.” John 2:4
4. His mother instructed those waiting on table, “Do whatever he tells you.” John 2:5
5. As prescribed for Jewish ceremonial washings, there were at hand six stone water jars, each holding fifteen to twenty-five gallons. John 2:6
6. “Fill those jars with water,” Jesus ordered, at which they filled them to the brim. John 2:7
7. “Now,” he said, “draw some out and take it to the waiter in charge.” They did as he instructed them. John 2:8
8. The waiter in charge tasted the water made wine, without knowing where it had come from; only the waiters knew, since they had drawn the water. John 2:9
9. Then the waiter in charge called the groom over and remarked to him: “People usually serve the choice wine first; then when the guests have been drinking awhile, a lesser vintage. What you have done is keep the choice wine until now.” John 2:9-10
10. Jesus performed this first of his signs at Cana in Galilee. Thus did he reveal his glory, and his disciples believed in him. John 2:11
1. Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee. He came to Nazareth, entered the synagogue, stood to do the reading, was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah and found the passage: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; therefore, he has anointed me. He has sent me to bring glad tidings to the poor, to proclaim liberty to captives, recovery of sight to the blind and release to prisoners, to announce a year of favor from the Lord.” Luke 4:14, 16-19
2. Jesus said, “Today this Scripture passage is fulfilled in your hearing.” “This is the time of fulfillment. The reign of God is at hand! Reform your lives and believe in the gospel!” Luke 4:21, Mark 1:15
3. Jesus toured all of Galilee, taught in their synagogues, proclaimed the good news of the kingdom, and cured the people of every disease and illness. Great crowds followed him. Matthew 4:23, 25
4. When he saw the crowds Jesus went up the mountainside sat down with his disciples around him and began to teach them: Matthew 5:1-2
5. Jesus taught: “Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”

6. “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for holiness, for they shall be satisfied.” Matthew 5:5-6
7. “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:7-8
8. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for holiness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:9-10
9. “I give you a new commandment: Love one another as I have loved you. There is no greater love than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15: 12-13
10. “I tell you solemnly, anyone who does not welcome the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” John15:12-1,3 Mark 10:15
1. Jesus took Peter, John and James off by themselves with him and led them up a high mountain to pray. Mark 9: 2
2. Jesus was transfigured before their eyes. His face became as dazzling as the sun and his clothes as radiant as light. Matthew 17:2
3. Suddenly two men were talking with him—Moses and Elijah. They appeared in glory and spoke of his passage, which he was about to fulfill in Jerusalem. Luke 9:30-31
4. Peter and those with him had fallen into a deep sleep; but awakening, they saw his glory and likewise saw the two men who were standing with him. When these were leaving, Peter said to Jesus: “Master, how good it is for us to be here. Let us set up three booths, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” (He did not really know what he was saying.) Luke 9:32-33
5. He was still speaking when suddenly a bright cloud overshadowed them. Out of the cloud came a voice which said, “This is my Son ,my beloved. Listen to him.” Matthew 17:5, Mark 9:7
6. When they heard this the disciples fell forward on the ground, overcome with fear. Matthew 17:6
7. Jesus came toward them and laying his hand on them, said ,“Stand up! Do not be afraid.” Matthew 17:7
8.When they raised their eyes they saw no one but only Jesus. Matthew 17:8
9. As they were coming down the mountainside Jesus commanded them, “Do not tell anyone of the vision until the Son Man rises from the dead.” Matthew 17:9
10. The disciples put this question to him, “Why do the scribes claim that Elijah must come first?” Jesus replied, “Elijah is indeed coming, and he will restore everything. I assure you, though, Elijah has already come, but they did not recognize him and they did as they pleased with him. The Son of Man will suffer at their hands in the same way.” The disciples then realized that he had been speaking to them about John the Baptist. Matthew 17: 10, 12-13
1. “I myself am the living bread come down from heaven. If anyone eats this bread he shall live forever; the bread I will give is my flesh, for the life of the world.” John 6:51
2. “Truly, truly I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:54
3. “My flesh is real food and my blood real drink.” John 6:55
4. “Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him.” John 6:56 5. “Just as the Father who has life sent me and I have life because of the Father, so the man who eats me will live because of me.” John 6:57
6. After this many of his disciples broke away and would not remain in his company any longer. Jesus said to the twelve, “Will you also go away?” Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life; and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.” John 6:66-69
7. The Lord Jesus on the night in which he was betrayed, said, “I have greatly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.”

8. Jesus took bread, and after he had given thanks, broke it and said, “This is my Body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”

9. In the same way, after the supper, he took the cup, saying, “For this is my Blood, the Blood of the new covenant, which is to be poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 1 Cor 11:25, Matthew 26:28
10. Every time, then, you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord until he comes! 1 Corinthians 11:26
